On the Shoulders of Giants

The 2022 On the Shoulders of Giants Scientific Symposium will honor Dr. Margaret McCarthy, chair for the Department of Pharmacology and director for the Program in Neuroscience (PIN) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, whose work focuses on understanding the cellular mechanisms in the developing brain that establish sex differences. Following brief presentations by Dr. McCarthy and her proteges, we will hold a roundtable discussion of gender differences in the brain throughout development.
